From download to your first detail

  1. Save your drawings and close AutoCAD. The installer needs AutoCAD to be closed before installing or updating.
  2. Run StructBar-Setup.exe. Follow the setup wizard. This release is unsigned, so Windows may display an unfamiliar-publisher warning. Only continue with a download you trust.
  3. Open AutoCAD or Civil 3D normally. The StructBar ribbon loads automatically.
  4. Open StructBar → Licence manager. Enter your email, request a sign-in code, and enter the code you receive. Your first eligible desktop sign-in starts the trial.
  5. Choose a wizard and start a detail. Review the inputs and preview, then place the reinforcement detail into your drawing.

Compatibility

2025: the installed plugin has passed automatic startup, ribbon, drawing open/close and clean exit checks in Civil 3D 2025.

2024 and 2026 — compatibility preview: version-specific builds and automated checks are complete; final in-app testing on these releases is pending. Keep a backup of your drawings when evaluating preview support.

Before you install

You need a working 64-bit Windows installation of AutoCAD or Civil 3D 2024, 2025 or 2026. The installer selects a separate plugin build for each release. AutoCAD LT, macOS and other release years are not supported. Setup includes its own runtime. An internet connection and access to your email are required for sign-in.

Your trial and licence

The trial lasts 30 days from your first eligible sign-in. Reinstalling does not restart it. Valid cached sessions can work offline for up to 24 hours, capped by your access expiry. After the trial, your DWG drawings remain accessible in AutoCAD; using StructBar’s tools requires an active licence.
